Dear curious person,
Little Cats Curio started the way good things do: a cat, a cup of tea, and an idea that would not go away. I wanted to make small things that make people smile, the kind you keep on a desk, tuck into a book or give to someone who gets it.
Every piece begins as a drawing. Then it goes to the laser, which cuts the shape from birch and burns the drawing in, line by line. The rest is by hand: sanding the edges, oiling the wood, tying the twine.
Because it is wood, no two pieces come out the same. A darker grain here, a softer burn there. I like that. It means yours is yours.
